Finance Committee
Mission
The Finance Committee of the Indian Valley Community Services District supports the Board of Directors by reviewing the District’s financial planning, budgeting, and fiscal policies. The committee works to ensure that public funds are managed responsibly and transparently while supporting the District’s long-term financial stability.
Committee members review proposed budgets, financial reports, and expenditures, and may make recommendations to the Board regarding financial priorities, capital projects, and funding strategies. By providing additional oversight and detailed financial review, the Standing Finance Committee helps the District maintain accountability and ensure that resources are used effectively to support essential community services.
Meetings
This committee usually reviews budget and financial reports, and opens the bank statements sent directly to the board and stores them for public review.
These meetings allow for uninterrupted dialogue among two board of directors to discuss financial matters of the district. These meetings are productive and help convey public comments and input through recommendations to the board at regular board meetings.
